Job Opportunity – Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (CNC & Automation)

A leading company in the Metals, Steel, Iron, and Aluminium Fabrication industry is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with 4 to 9 years of experience for a full-time position based in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality and gender, with one vacancy currently available.

The primary responsibility of this role is to execute preventive maintenance schedules for a wide range of advanced manufacturing equipment. These include CNC machines, robots, laser cutting and welding machines, as well as conventional machinery. The engineer will be expected to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues related to high-precision components such as spindle units, ball screws, bearings, lubrication systems, and other critical machine parts.

In addition to mechanical maintenance, the role involves conducting routine safety inspections, ensuring the proper functioning of light curtains, sensors, and limit switches to maintain a safe working environment. The engineer will also diagnose and repair faults in pneumatic and hydraulic systems, as well as maintain forklifts, manlifts, and material handling equipment to support smooth production operations.

A key aspect of the role is spare parts management. This includes identifying required spare parts, planning specifications and model numbers, finding equivalent replacements, and maintaining accurate inventory records, consumption logs, and breakdown documentation. All maintenance activities and machine history must be regularly updated in the ERP system to ensure traceability and operational efficiency.

The position also emphasizes Kaizen and continuous improvement practices, encouraging the engineer to contribute to process optimization, reliability enhancement, and a strong zero-leak maintenance culture, while strictly following SOPs and preventive maintenance documentation.

The ideal candidate should hold a Diploma (DME), Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, with strong hands-on experience in CNC machining centers (VMC, turning centers, profile cutting, Elumatec CNC), laser cutting and welding machines, servo drives, and CNC control systems. Experience in robot maintenance will be considered a strong advantage.

This role is well-suited for a technically driven professional seeking growth in a modern, automation-focused manufacturing environment.
