Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will provide high-quality therapy services aimed at improving patients’ functional independence and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities.
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs and goals.
- Implement evidence-based interventions to enhance functional performance and independence.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting therapy plans as required.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and home programs.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with Department of Health (DOH) policies.
- Participate in departmental meetings, training, and ongoing professional development activities.
- Ensure adherence to safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols in the therapy environment.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and support departmental research activities.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid professional license or registration as an Occupational Therapist (DOH license preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in healthcare or rehabilitation settings.
- Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, assistive devices, and adaptive strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
