Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to coordinate, execute, and manage site supervision, design review, planning, project monitoring, and testing & commissioning for large-scale infrastructure projects. The role involves providing technical guidance to the Project Management Team and clients, ensuring successful procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of all mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical advice to the Project Management Team and clients regarding mechanical procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Attend all factory and site tests necessary for project completion and asset handover to relevant authorities.
- Develop engineering scopes, schedules, and budgets for assigned project elements, and monitor progress to meet targets.
- Document scope changes and assist in determining procurement requirements, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with procurement and subcontractor teams to facilitate bidding processes.
- Manage interdisciplinary technical personnel and coordinate with other Project Engineers.
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, supervising, and controlling technical, fiscal, and administrative project functions.
- Ensure client requirements and engineering standards are met across all disciplines.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for clients and project management.
- Distribute action items following meetings with clients and project stakeholders.
- Perform other duties relevant to the position as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable institution.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in site supervision, design review, planning, project monitoring, and testing & commissioning for large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Previous consultancy experience in construction supervision of pumping stations, firefighting systems, chilled water networks, and utilities.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and processes in Dubai (DEWA, DM, Civil Defense).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
