Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to safely and efficiently handle cargo during container stuffing and de-stuffing operations. The ideal candidate will ensure strict adherence to safety procedures while maintaining equipment and cargo integrity.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Follow instructions given by Supervisor / Foreman & Clerk.
- Select and operate the appropriate forklift for container de-stuffing and stuffing operations.
- Segregate cargo being de-stuffed from the container and load it safely onto trailers or into containers.
- Ensure all safety measures are followed before operations begin.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any defects, damages, or breakdowns to the supervisor.
- Maintain work areas free of hazards to minimize risks to people, equipment, and cargo.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification is mandatory.
- Proven experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of safe and efficient forklift operation experience.
- Experience in manufacturing or logistics is highly desirable.
- Effective communication skills in English (verbal and written).
