We are seeking a skilled Diesel Engine & Dewatering Pump Technician to manage preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance of diesel engine-driven pumps and generators on construction and stormwater projects in Dubai. This is a hands-on role requiring technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and readiness to respond to emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance of diesel engine-driven dewatering pumps and generators.
- Conduct routine servicing including oil changes, filters, belts, and cooling system maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair engine issues such as starting problems, overheating, unusual noise, vibration, or smoke.
- Maintain dewatering and stormwater pumps including impellers, seals, bearings, and pipelines.
- Ensure proper pump priming, alignment, and discharge pressure.
- Respond to breakdowns and emergency call-outs, particularly during rain or flood conditions.
- Coordinate with electricians on control panels, alarms, and safety interlocks.
- Report equipment conditions and spare parts requirements to supervisors.
Requirements:
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, or Diesel Engine Technology.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in diesel engine maintenance.
- Proven experience with dewatering, stormwater, or construction pumps.
- UAE Driving License – Manual is compulsory.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and pump systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot independently.
- Comfortable with site-based, outdoor work.
- Willing to work shifts, nights, and emergency duties.
