Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead and manage electrical engineering activities for roads and utilities projects in Dubai. The successful candidate will oversee the development and execution of electrical design solutions, ensuring compliance with client requirements, local authority standards, and quality benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Independently develop and supervise the creation of electrical engineering deliverables, including problem definition, scope of work, budgeting, scheduling, planning, and reporting.
B. Prepare detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and analyses.
C. Provide guidance to CAD designers, drafters, junior engineers, and other technical staff working on assigned projects.
D. Ensure all designs comply with Dubai local authority requirements, including Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) regulations, DEWA standards, and Dubai Municipality approvals.
E. Review drawings and designs prior to client submission, coordinating with contractors and authorities to secure approvals while maintaining proper documentation.
F. Coordinate execution of LV/HV electrical works with clients and contractors.
G. Support other engineering activities as required and supervise project team members, providing performance feedback where necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience managing roads, utilities, and traffic signal engineering projects in the UAE, preferably Dubai.
- Proven ability to establish strong working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and government authorities.
- In-depth knowledge of RTA regulations, DEWA requirements, and Dubai Municipality standards.
- Strong management skills with excellent written and oral communication.
- Proficient in CAD and other engineering software tools.
