A leading technology company based in Dubai is actively looking for an experienced Android Software Engineer to join its dynamic and growing team. This is a full-time opportunity available in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Fujairah, with options for remote collaboration from India. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for building high-quality, scalable, and secure Android applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Android apps using Kotlin and Java
- Build modern user interfaces using Jetpack Compose and XML
- Implement MVVM or Clean Architecture for scalable app development
- Integrate REST APIs using Retrofit, Room, and Firebase
- Utilize Kotlin Coroutines and Flow for asynchronous programming
- Ensure app performance, security, and responsiveness
- Write unit and UI tests for robust applications
- Debug, optimize, and manage app releases via Google Play Console
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, backend engineers, and QA
Desired Candidate Profile
- Strong experience with Kotlin & Java, Android SDK, and Jetpack components
- Proficiency in Jetpack Compose, Material Design, MVVM/Clean Architecture
- Experience integrating REST APIs and working with Room Database
- Knowledge of dependency injection frameworks such as Hilt or Dagger
- Familiarity with Git version control and performance optimization
- Testing experience using JUnit, Mockito, and Espresso
- Bonus: exposure to multimodule Android projects, Wear OS, Android TV, Flutter, React Native, and backend basics (Node.js/Firebase)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 4–6 years of professional Android development experience
- Published apps on Google Play Store is an added advantage
