Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to lead large-scale, high-value construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will bring 15–20 years of proven experience, including 8–10 years within Abu Dhabi/UAE, preferably with exposure to ALDAR projects. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and in-depth knowledge of Abu Dhabi authorities, construction regulations, and FIDIC contracts.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Lead construction projects from design coordination through final handover.
- Develop and implement project execution strategies, master schedules, and budgets.
- Ensure full compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
- Monitor progress, productivity, resources, and milestones to ensure timely delivery.
Cost, Contract & Commercial Management
- Control project budgets, cash flow, variations, claims, and final accounts.
- Review and approve subcontractor valuations and payments.
- Apply strong working knowledge of FIDIC contract conditions.
- Coordinate closely with commercial, planning, and quantity surveying teams.
Client, Consultant & Authority Liaison
- Act as the main point of contact with clients, consultants, and Abu Dhabi authorities.
- Lead weekly and monthly progress meetings and executive reporting.
- Manage approvals with DMT, ADM, Estidama, ADDC, ADCD, and other authorities.
- Resolve contractual, technical, and operational challenges efficiently.
Team Leadership & Site Management
- Lead multidisciplinary teams including project managers, engineers, planners, and subcontractors.
- Ensure effective manpower deployment and high productivity on site.
- Mentor, coach, and develop project staff to achieve performance excellence.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Enforce HSE regulations and promote a zero-accident safety culture.
- Ensure implementation of QA/QC systems and inspection procedures.
- Ensure full compliance with Estidama Pearl Rating System requirements.
Risk Management & Project Close-Out
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Oversee snagging, testing, commissioning, and final handover.
- Ensure completion of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and project close-out documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- PMP certification or Master’s degree is an advantage.
Experience
- 15–20 years total construction experience.
- Minimum 8–10 years working in Abu Dhabi/UAE.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale residential, commercial, infrastructure, or mixed-use projects.
- Experience managing projects valued above AED 200 million is highly preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Abu Dhabi construction regulations and authority procedures.
- Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
- Excellent understanding of planning, cost control, claims management, and FIDIC contracts.
