Job Overview
Gerab Systems Solutions is seeking an experienced Presales Network & Security Consultant to drive business growth by providing technical expertise and consultative support to clients and the sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, architecting, and proposing innovative network and security solutions for enterprise clients. This role requires deep technical knowledge, excellent presentation skills, and the ability to develop trusted relationships with customers.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with account managers to understand client requirements, assess existing infrastructure, and recommend secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions. This is a senior presales role that combines technical proficiency, business acumen, and consultative engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Consultation & Solution Design
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand client business objectives and technical requirements
- Design end-to-end network and security solutions, including hardware configurations, software integration, and network diagrams
- Conduct network assessments, security audits, and gap analyses to identify improvements
Product & Technology Expertise
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of networking and security products (firewalls, VPNs, routers, switches, cloud security solutions)
- Stay current with cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and networking advancements
- Provide technical recommendations, product comparisons, and compatibility assessments
Customer Engagement & Requirement Gathering
- Lead technical discussions with clients to clarify requirements and address concerns
- Conduct site visits and discovery sessions to evaluate client infrastructure
- Align proposed solutions with clients’ IT and strategic goals
Solution Presentation & Proposal Development
- Deliver presentations, product demonstrations, and workshops showcasing solution value
- Draft technical proposals, including scope of work, specifications, and cost estimates
- Support the sales team in handling technical objections and refining proposals
Technical Documentation & RFP/RFI Response
- Prepare solution overviews, design blueprints, and implementation guides
- Lead RFP and RFI response efforts ensuring compliance with client requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide accurate project cost estimates and timelines
Vendor & Team Collaboration
- Build and maintain relationships with technology vendors and suppliers
- Guide implementation teams during deployment and troubleshooting
- Mentor junior presales consultants and share technical knowledge
Desired Candidate Profile
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 8+ years in network and security presales, preferably within system integrators or IT consultancies
Certifications (Preferred):
- CCNP/CCIE (Cisco), PCNSE (Palo Alto), NSE4+ (Fortinet), or equivalent
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in networking (LAN, WAN, WLAN, MPLS) and security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, endpoint protection)
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, and cloud security (AWS, Azure)
- Ability to design secure network architectures and implement cybersecurity frameworks
